River Labs guarantees the dogs eyes for a period of 24 months from birth
and that the dog can be O.F.A. Certified against Hip Dysplasia by age
30 months under the following conditions and exceptions:
Any problems caused by human
error in treatment or training, are not covered under this guarantee,
or if the dog has sired or whelped a litter before O.F.A Certified, plus
the eyes need to be cleared by an ophthalmologist.
Your dog is guaranteed to be free of hip or elbow dysphasia, if the dog’s
hips and elbows are X-rayed prior to the dog attaining 30 months of age
by an approved veterinarian. X-rays must be sent to the O.F.A. to be examined.
Animals older than 30 months at time of X-ray are not guaranteed. (The
X-rays should be done between 24 and 26 months of age.)
If the dog was certified to have dysphasia within 30 months of age, the
owner must submit proof from O.F.A. (copy of the certificate with the
micro chip number written on the document). Have a written statement from
the dogs vet, stating the health condition is not related to mistreatment
or accident. High River Labs will have access to all vet records pertaining
to the dog.
Hereditary eye defects, the dog must have its eyes examined by 1 year
of age, by a certified veterinary ophthalmologist. Ophthalmologist must
state in writing that the defect is hereditary in nature, and not caused
by illness, injury or lack of nutrition. Your dog eye guarantee is for
24 months only. Micro chip number must be present on all documents.
A replacement pup will be provided from the next available litter. If
the value of the replacement pup is more than the previous pup, the owner
is responsible for the difference of the two pups. The cost of shipping
the replacement pup falls onto the customer.
A dog certified to have hip dysphasia and–or hereditary eye defect(s)
may be spayed or neutered with the consent of High River Labs. Proof of
the sterilization must be sent to High River Labs before a replacement
dog will be shipped.
High River Labs may request additional opinions from other professionals,
all medical records must be furnished if requested.
No dog will be guaranteed unless it has High River Labs or High River
in its AKC registered name. The dog may not have been transferred or sold
from the original owner.
Replacement pup will be same sex, color and breed. Also from compatible
blood lines.
This agreement must be signed, dated and returned by the purchaser within
60 days of purchase or the pup or dog, or the guarantee is Void.
